| 10 | 10 | | Committee members, with a vision to unite and empower Bangladeshi-Americans in5 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Georgia; and6 |

| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, the mission of the Bangladesh Association of Georgia is to celebrate, educate,7 |

| 13 | 13 | | and elevate. Through a variety of cultural events, educational programs, and community8 |

| 14 | 14 | | initiatives, the association strives to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of9 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Bangladeshi heritage; and10 |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, the Bangladesh Association of Georgia has had an impact that extends beyond11 |

| 17 | 17 | | community borders. Through outreach and advocacy, it seeks to build bridges of12 |

| 18 | 18 | | understanding and collaboration with its neighbors in Georgia, and by fostering dialogue,13 |

| 19 | 19 | | promoting diversity, and engaging in charitable endeavors, it aims to create a more inclusive14 |

| 25 | 25 | | welfare organization based in Atlanta. It organizes cultural events, celebrates all national17 |

| 26 | 26 | | days of Bangladesh, including the Bangla New Year, and arranges consulate services, youth18 |

| 27 | 27 | | educational seminars, fairs, and festivals that tie the community together and with19 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Bangladesh. The association assists the Bangladeshi community by providing a networking20 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | platform and by introducing Bangladeshi heritage to the wider multi-cultural communities21 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of Atlanta. One of the principal aims of the Bangladesh Association of Georgia is to22 |

| 31 | 31 | | encourage a new generation of Bangladeshi-Americans to explore Bangladeshi culture and23 |

| 33 | 33 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25 |

| 35 | 35 | | encouragement of the new generation of Bangladeshi-Americans to explore Bangladeshi27 |
|---|

| 37 | 37 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29 |
