| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, sewage pollution and spills have been a persistent issue in various areas of4 |

| 12 | 12 | | DeKalb County, disproportionately affecting predominantly Black "nonpriority" areas; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, the health and well-being of residents in these areas are compromised due to6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the adverse effects of sewage pollution on the environment and public health; and7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is essential to address these issues promptly and ensure that all residents of8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | DeKalb County have access to clean and safe environments; and9 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, there is a disparity between the prioritization of areas in DeKalb County, with10 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | North DeKalb receiving preferential treatment over South DeKalb.11 |

| 19 | 19 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 |

| 21 | 21 | | Environmental Protection Agency, and the DeKalb County government to take immediate14 |

| 32 | 32 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body encourage the Georgia22 |
