12 | 12 | | with the passing of Helen Marie Richardson Louis; and3 |

13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Helen Marie Richardson Louis was born on October 27, 1943, in Savannah,4 |
---|
14 | 14 | | Georgia, the beloved daughter of Joseph Richardson Sr. and Florine Rogers Strong; and5 |
---|
15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, she earned a bachelor's degree with honors in education from Savannah State6 |
---|
16 | 16 | | College before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, to begin her career as an educator, later7 |
---|
17 | 17 | | obtaining a master's degree in education from Georgia State University and completing all8 |
---|
18 | 18 | | course work toward a Doctorate in Education at Walden University; and9 |

19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Helen Marie Richardson Louis dedicated 37 years of service to the Atlanta10 |

20 | 20 | | Public School System as an elementary school teacher and school psychologist, where she11 |

21 | 21 | | was entrusted with some of the most challenging classrooms, commanded the respect of12 |
---|
22 | 22 | | students and colleagues alike, and received numerous accolades for her outstanding13 |

29 | 29 | | several committees and offered mentorship to undergraduate members; and17 |

30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, she gave her life to Christ at an early age18 |

31 | 31 | | at First Evergreen Baptist Church in Savannah and later became an active member of19 |

32 | 32 | | Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta, where she participated in the CMA Bell Choir, the20 |
---|
33 | 33 | | Verse Speaking Choir, and the Usher Board; and21 |

34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Helen Marie Richardson Louis was a beloved mother, grandmother, and22 |

35 | 35 | | matriarch, leaving behind a legacy of love and encouragement for her two daughters,23 |

36 | 36 | | Quadralyn and DeVita, as well as her two grandchildren, Charles and Micala, whom she24 |

37 | 37 | | adored and supported throughout their lives and accomplishments; and25 |

38 | 38 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Helen Marie Richardson Louis will long26 |

39 | 39 | | be remembered for her love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all27 |

41 | 41 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29 |
