1616 Recognizing and commending Dr. Tenisha Bibbs; and for other purposes.

1818 WHEREAS, Dr. Tenisha Bibbs is a dedicated maternal health advocate and postpartum2
1919 coach who serves as CEO of Tenisha Bibbs Enterprises, where she leads efforts to improve3
2020 maternal and postpartum health outcomes through holistic care and strategic advocacy; and4
2121 WHEREAS, with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Bibbs works to address critical gaps in5
2222 postpartum mental health, lactation support, birth advocacy, and maternal mortality6
2323 prevention, ensuring that mothers and birthing persons receive the comprehensive care they7
2424 need to thrive; and8
2525 WHEREAS, as the founder of Refocus Newborn Health & Postpartum Care, a nonprofit9
2626 organization, Dr. Bibbs provides essential services to help mothers transition from hospital10
2727 to home with confidence, focusing on postpartum recovery, mental health resources, and11
2828 breastfeeding education to support long-term maternal well-being; and12
2929 WHEREAS, Dr. Bibbs is dedicated to combating maternal mental health challenges,13
3030 including postpartum depression and maternal suicide, as well as addressing the barriers that14
3131 prevent many women from accessing the care they need; and15

3434 WHEREAS, a passionate policy advocate, Dr. Bibbs collaborates with healthcare providers,

3636 community leaders, and policymakers to increase access to maternal health services,17
3737 championing the expansion of Medicaid as well as insurance coverage for doula services and18
3838 holistic postpartum care; and19
3939 WHEREAS, as a published author and dynamic speaker, Dr. Bibbs educates and inspires20
4040 through her books, including Ask a Doula: A Transitional Guide for New Moms, which21
4141 provides practical advice to help women navigate the postpartum journey; and22
4242 WHEREAS, through her work, Dr. Bibbs is building a lasting legacy of maternal health23
4343 advocacy, upholding the belief that every mother deserves access to resources and support24
4444 that foster healing, confidence, and long-term well-being; and25
4545 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this26
4646 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.27
4747 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28
4848 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Tenisha Bibbs for her efficient,29
4949 effective, and exemplary service to her fellow citizens as well as extend the most sincere best30
5050 wishes for continued health and happiness.31
5151 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32
5252 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.33
5353 Tenisha Bibbs.34
