| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 |

| 24 | 24 | | Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and8 |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Brinca Y. McMickens is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts10 |

| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, at age 11, Brinca successfully advocated for the creation of the Minority to12 |

| 29 | 29 | | Majority Program in Georgia, allowing students to attend schools outside of their districts,13 |

| 30 | 30 | | and she was chosen by Governor Jimmy Carter to represent Georgia in Boston,14 |

| 31 | 31 | | Massachusetts, as a spokesperson to encourage the integration of public schools; and 15 |

| 40 | 40 | | meals for more than 900 unhoused individuals each week; sponsoring a pocketbook drive21 |

| 41 | 41 | | that distributed over 200 purses filled with personal hygiene items to homeless girls, women,22 |

| 42 | 42 | | and children; and coordinating a winter hat drive that provided over 100 personally knitted23 |

| 44 | 44 | | WHEREAS, she has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for her25 |

| 45 | 45 | | leadership as a board member for New Kids Productions, as chair of the Lithonia Community26 |

| 46 | 46 | | District, and as creator of "The Equalyzer," a community advocacy and activism podcast; and27 |

| 47 | 47 | | WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this28 |
