| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | with the passing of Emily L. Milner on December 17, 2024; and3 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Emily L. Milner was born on January 18, 1917, and this year represents the4 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 108th anniversary of her birth; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Emily L. Milner was an active member of6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Atlanta; and7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, affectionately know as Miss Emily by her congregation, she held her faith close8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to her heart, devoted her time to praying the rosary, faithfully attended mass, and proudly9 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | held the title of longest-living alumna of Our Lady of Lourdes School; and 10 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern11 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she demonstrated to12 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | her family and friends were admired by others; and13 |

| 25 | 25 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,15 |

| 26 | 26 | | she made this world a better place in which to live; and16 |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Emily L. Milner will long be17 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | remembered for her love of Christ, her family, and her community and will be missed by all18 |

| 29 | 29 | | who had the great fortune of knowing her.19 |

| 30 | 30 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 |

| 32 | 32 | | express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.22 |
