25 LC 112 3398 House Resolution 636 By: Representatives Scott of the 76 th , Davis of the 87 th , and Schofield of the 63 rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Carol Renee Jones; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, our nation's security continues to rely on patriotic men and women who put2 their personal lives on hold in order to place themselves in harm's way to protect the3 freedoms that all United States citizens cherish; and4 WHEREAS, Carol Renee Jones valiantly and courageously served as a guardian of this5 nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Army for 20 years, including four years6 of honorable active duty and 16 years in the Army Reserves; and7 WHEREAS, throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Jones has dedicated a total of 45 years8 to federal service, culminating in her pivotal role as a Financial Operations Specialist in the9 Office of Grants Management; and10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones has made substantial contributions to federal grants management,11 ensuring that funds are utilized to their fullest potential for the benefit of communities across12 the nation and setting a lasting benchmark for others to aspire to; and13 H. R. 636 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3398 WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones is a highly decorated veteran and a recipient of numerous awards 14 and commendations for her service and dedication to improving federal operations; and15 WHEREAS, only those with great strength, discipline, and a firm resolve achieve positions16 of such status, and Mrs. Jones has brought great credit to herself, her family, this state, and17 this nation through her outstanding performance and dedication; and18 WHEREAS, her selfless service stands as a shining tribute to the strength of human spirit and19 willpower, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of20 this remarkable and distinguished American be appropriately recognized.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize and commend Carol Renee Jones for her 45 years of23 efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and this24 nation as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Carol27 Renee Jones.28 H.
