25 LC 129 0426 House Resolution 761 By: Representatives Williamson of the 112 th , Fleming of the 114 th , and Martinez of the 111 th A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Fieldon Marcus Chapman; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, Fieldon Marcus Chapman has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the most2 distinguished rank conferred by the Boy Scouts of America; and3 WHEREAS, a candidate for the most exceptional award in scouting must complete a4 rigorous program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques5 and the attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and6 WHEREAS, only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and7 Fieldon has ably evidenced his aptitude and competency in mastering the various special8 skills taught through the Scouts BSA program; and9 WHEREAS, an outstanding Georgian, Fieldon has truly exhibited a commitment to the10 scouting principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted himself in a11 manner becoming of an Eagle Scout; and12 WHEREAS, a member of Troop 705, he has served as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader,13 Troop Guide, and Chaplain's Aide as well as earned 24 merit badges; and14 H. R. 761 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0426 WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout Project, Fieldon installed a 40 foot flagpole at George 15 Walton Football Field, in Monroe, Georgia; and16 WHEREAS, the perseverance and determination displayed by this exceptional young leader17 set an example for all Georgians, and great success is surely in this young man's future.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend Fieldon Marcus Chapman for his diligence and20 dedication in pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and21 congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to24 Fieldon Marcus Chapman. 25 H.
