1616 Recognizing and commending Kilo Ali for his outstanding contributions to Atlanta's musical

1818 sound, culture, and his lasting impact on the global music industry; and for other purposes.2
1919 WHEREAS, Andrell D. Rogers, known professionally as Kilo Ali, is a pioneering rapper,3
2020 songwriter, and artist whose groundbreaking contributions to Atlanta's hip-hop and bass4
2121 music scene have left an indelible mark on the city's culture; and5
2222 WHEREAS, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kilo Ali emerged as one of the defining6
2323 voices of Southern hip-hop, blending high-energy beats, innovative production, and7
2424 charismatic lyricism to create a signature sound that helped establish Atlanta as a dominant8
2525 force in the music industry; and9
2626 WHEREAS, he played a pivotal role in the development of Atlanta bass music, a subgenre10
2727 characterized by its infectious rhythms and club-oriented appeal, influencing generations of11
2828 artists and producers who followed in his footsteps; and12
2929 WHEREAS, his debut album, America Has a Problem, introduced his unique style and social13
3030 commentary, while subsequent releases such as Organized Bass and Get This Party Started14

3838 WHEREAS, he worked with and influenced some of Atlanta's most celebrated artists and19
3939 producers, including Lil Jon, DJ Taz, and the broader Southern hip-hop and crunk20
4040 movements, paving the way for Atlanta's dominance in the global rap scene; and21
4141 WHEREAS, Kilo Ali's legacy extends beyond music as he represents the spirit of innovation,22
4242 resilience, and authenticity that defines Atlanta's artistic and cultural landscape; and23
4343 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this body recognize the exceptional24
4444 achievements of Kilo Ali and extend gratitude for his contributions to the State of Georgia's25
4545 musical heritage and cultural influence worldwide.26
4646 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
4747 the members of this body recognize and commend Kilo Ali for his outstanding contributions28
4848 to music and culture and express their sincere appreciation for his lasting influence on the29
4949 State of Georgia and beyond.30
5050 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31
5151 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Kilo32
