9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |

10 | 10 | | with the passing of Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen on March 24, 2025; and3 |

11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen was born on June 30, 1930, as the 12th child4 |
---|
12 | 12 | | of William Lawrence Sosebee and Ollie Ledford Edison Sosebee; and5 |
---|
13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, she was united in love and marriage to her husband, Orlando "Pete" McMichen,6 |
---|
14 | 14 | | and was blessed with four remarkable children, Aurelia, Charlotte, Joyce, and Kenneth; five7 |

15 | 15 | | wonderful grandchildren, Jana, Stephenie, Kristy, Justin, and Kaleb; nine beloved8 |

16 | 16 | | great-grandchildren; and six magnificent great-great-grandchildren; and9 |

17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, a devoted homemaker, she dedicated herself to raising her children and10 |

26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, in her later years, she enjoyed traveling and playing cards, but above all, she16 |

27 | 27 | | loved Jesus and remained a faithful prayer warrior, lifting up her family and friends in17 |

29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern19 |

30 | 30 | | for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she demonstrated to20 |
