| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |

| 10 | 10 | | with the passing of Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen on March 24, 2025; and3 |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen was born on June 30, 1930, as the 12th child4 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of William Lawrence Sosebee and Ollie Ledford Edison Sosebee; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, she was united in love and marriage to her husband, Orlando "Pete" McMichen,6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and was blessed with four remarkable children, Aurelia, Charlotte, Joyce, and Kenneth; five7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | wonderful grandchildren, Jana, Stephenie, Kristy, Justin, and Kaleb; nine beloved8 |

| 16 | 16 | | great-grandchildren; and six magnificent great-great-grandchildren; and9 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, a devoted homemaker, she dedicated herself to raising her children and10 |

| 18 | 18 | | embraced her role as a loving Nanny to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and11 |

|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, in her later years, she enjoyed traveling and playing cards, but above all, she16 |

| 27 | 27 | | loved Jesus and remained a faithful prayer warrior, lifting up her family and friends in17 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern19 |

| 30 | 30 | | for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she demonstrated to20 |

| 31 | 31 | | her family and friends were admired by others; and21 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation22 |

| 33 | 33 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,23 |

| 35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen will25 |

| 36 | 36 | | long be remembered for her love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed26 |

| 37 | 37 | | by all who had the great fortune of knowing her.27 |

| 38 | 38 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 |

| 40 | 40 | | McMichen and express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.30 |
