| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |

| 9 | 9 | | with the passing of Roosevelt Robinson on January 5, 2025; and3 |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Roosevelt Robinson was born on November 11, 1936, in Pike County, Georgia,4 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | a beloved son of Charlie and Lillie Mae Alexander Robinson; and5 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Blanche, and was blessed with6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | three remarkable children, Roosevelt Jr., Randy, and Deedrea; seven wonderful7 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Tyler, Jordan, Patrick, William Jr., and Kaelon; and four8 |

| 15 | 15 | | outstanding great-grandchildren, Jaida, Justin Jr., Amirah, and Naliyah; and9 |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Roosevelt Robinson found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly10 |

| 17 | 17 | | fishing and gardening, and he remained a source of love and strength for his family despite11 |

| 24 | 24 | | family and friends were admired by others; and15 |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation16 |

| 26 | 26 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he17 |

| 27 | 27 | | made this world a better place in which to live; and18 |

| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Roosevelt Robinson will long be19 |

| 29 | 29 | | remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who20 |

| 30 | 30 | | had the great fortune of knowing him.21 |

| 31 | 31 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 |
