66 Honoring the life and memory of William G. Fallin; and for other purposes.

88 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
99 with the passing of William G. Fallin on January 4, 2025; and3
1010 WHEREAS, William G. Fallin was born on September 9, 1932, in Thomas County, Georgia,4
1111 a beloved son of Brady and Ernestine Fallin; and5
1212 WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6
1313 States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the Korean7
1414 War; and8
1515 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, William G. Fallin was an active member of9
1616 First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, choir member,10
1717 and co-chair of two renovation projects; and11
1818 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife of 67 years, Barbara, and was12
1919 blessed with three children, Leah, Laura, and William; six wonderful grandchildren, Ernest,13

2222 Stuart, Katherine, Thomas, Robert, and William; and two treasured great-granddaughters,

2424 Mary and Fallin; and15
2525 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern16
2626 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his17
2727 family and friends were admired by others; and18
2828 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation19
2929 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he20
3030 made this world a better place in which to live; and21
3131 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, William G. Fallin will long be remembered22
3232 for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great23
3333 fortune of knowing him.24
3434 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25
3535 join in honoring the life and memory of William G. Fallin and express their deepest and most26
3636 sincere regret at his passing.27
3737 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28
3838 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of29
3939 William G. Fallin.30
