Fallin; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of William G. Fallin on January 4, 2025; and3 WHEREAS, William G. Fallin was born on September 9, 1932, in Thomas County, Georgia,4 a beloved son of Brady and Ernestine Fallin; and5 WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6 States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the Korean7 War; and8 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, William G. Fallin was an active member of9 First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, choir member,10 and co-chair of two renovation projects; and11 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife of 67 years, Barbara, and was12 blessed with three children, Leah, Laura, and William; six wonderful grandchildren, Ernest,13 S. R. 25 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2678 Stuart, Katherine, Thomas, Robert, and William; and two treasured great-granddaughters, 14 Mary and Fallin; and15 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern16 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his17 family and friends were admired by others; and18 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation19 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he20 made this world a better place in which to live; and21 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, William G. Fallin will long be remembered22 for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great23 fortune of knowing him.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25 join in honoring the life and memory of William G. Fallin and express their deepest and most26 sincere regret at his passing.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the family of29 William G.
