11 | 11 | | significantly contribute to the state's economy, culture, and global reputation; and5 |

12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Georgia has become a leading destination for film, television, music, digital6 |

13 | 13 | | media, and live entertainment production, generating billions of dollars in economic impact7 |

14 | 14 | | and creating thousands of jobs across the state; and8 |

15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, the state's diverse landscapes, historic sites, world-class production facilities,9 |

16 | 16 | | and skilled workforce have positioned Georgia as a premier location for10 |

17 | 17 | | entertainment-related tourism, drawing visitors from around the world to experience its rich11 |

18 | 18 | | cultural heritage and cinematic attractions; and12 |

19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, ETAG plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration among industry leaders,13 |

20 | 20 | | local businesses, and government officials to ensure continued growth and sustainability in14 |

21 | 21 | | Georgia's entertainment tourism sector; and15 |

24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, the organization actively promotes initiatives that enhance the visibility of |

26 | 26 | | Georgia's entertainment attractions, advocate for policies that support the industry, and17 |

27 | 27 | | provide educational resources for aspiring professionals in the field; and18 |

28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, the economic impact of the state's entertainment tourism industry is significant,19 |
---|
29 | 29 | | and ETAG is working with industry partners to create an economic impact calculator for this20 |
---|
30 | 30 | | robust industry; in addition, ETAG is building a network so that Georgia communities, large21 |
---|
31 | 31 | | and small, have the opportunity to benefit from entertainment tourism; and22 |

32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize the contributions of ETAG and to celebrate23 |
---|
33 | 33 | | its efforts in strengthening Georgia's status as a top destination for entertainment tourism.24 |

34 | 34 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25 |

35 | 35 | | commend the Entertainment Tourism Alliance of Georgia (ETAG) for its dedication to26 |

36 | 36 | | advancing the entertainment and tourism industries in Georgia and recognize February 28,27 |

37 | 37 | | 2025, as Entertainment Tourism Day at the state capitol.28 |

38 | 38 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29 |
