99 WHEREAS, the Entertainment Tourism Alliance of Georgia (ETAG) is dedicated to3
1010 promoting and supporting Georgia's thriving entertainment and tourism industries, which4
1111 significantly contribute to the state's economy, culture, and global reputation; and5
1212 WHEREAS, Georgia has become a leading destination for film, television, music, digital6
1313 media, and live entertainment production, generating billions of dollars in economic impact7
1414 and creating thousands of jobs across the state; and8
1515 WHEREAS, the state's diverse landscapes, historic sites, world-class production facilities,9
1616 and skilled workforce have positioned Georgia as a premier location for10
1717 entertainment-related tourism, drawing visitors from around the world to experience its rich11
1818 cultural heritage and cinematic attractions; and12
1919 WHEREAS, ETAG plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration among industry leaders,13
2020 local businesses, and government officials to ensure continued growth and sustainability in14
2121 Georgia's entertainment tourism sector; and15

2424 WHEREAS, the organization actively promotes initiatives that enhance the visibility of

2626 Georgia's entertainment attractions, advocate for policies that support the industry, and17
2727 provide educational resources for aspiring professionals in the field; and18
2828 WHEREAS, the economic impact of the state's entertainment tourism industry is significant,19
2929 and ETAG is working with industry partners to create an economic impact calculator for this20
3030 robust industry; in addition, ETAG is building a network so that Georgia communities, large21
3131 and small, have the opportunity to benefit from entertainment tourism; and22
3232 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize the contributions of ETAG and to celebrate23
3333 its efforts in strengthening Georgia's status as a top destination for entertainment tourism.24
3434 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25
3535 commend the Entertainment Tourism Alliance of Georgia (ETAG) for its dedication to26
3636 advancing the entertainment and tourism industries in Georgia and recognize February 28,27
3737 2025, as Entertainment Tourism Day at the state capitol.28
3838 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29
3939 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Entertainment30
4040 Tourism Alliance of Georgia.31
