| 9 | 9 | | Officer in the United States Army, commanding two Headquarters Companies, instructing3 |

| 10 | 10 | | ROTC students at the University of North Carolina, and concluding her career as Executive4 |

| 11 | 11 | | Officer to the Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Reserve Command5 |

| 12 | 12 | | at Fort McPherson, Georgia; and6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, her exemplary service earned her numerous military awards and decorations,7 |

| 14 | 14 | | including the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters,8 |

| 15 | 15 | | the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and many more; and9 |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, following her military career, Colonel (Ret.) Staten became a licensed Georgia10 |
