A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Darren Myles; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Darren Myles has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital2
role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the success of the3
athletes of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,5
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced6
dramatically by his recognition as the 2024 Atlanta Falcons Coach of the Year; and7
WHEREAS, for 18 seasons, Darren Myles has coached at various Atlanta high schools,8
including Frederick Douglass High School, Alonzo Crim High school, and George9
Washington Carver High School; and 10
WHEREAS, Darren Myles' exemplary coaching, mentoring, and dedication to his students11
has led several of them to the NFL and other prestigious professional endeavors; and12
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high13
ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom14

which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved

through overcoming the many challenges of life; and16
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for17
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and18
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this19
remarkable and distinguished coach be appropriately recognized.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body21
recognize and commend Darren Myles for his dedication to the betterment of Georgia's22
athletes and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed24
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Darren Myles.25
