A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates on the occasion

of its 30th anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) has faithfully served the3
children and families of Atlanta for 30 years, advocating for the best interests of children4
who have experienced abuse or neglect; and5
WHEREAS, since its founding in 1995, Atlanta CASA has worked tirelessly to ensure that6
every child in foster care has a safe, permanent, and loving home, leveraging the dedication7
of trained volunteer advocates to provide critical support and guidance; and8
WHEREAS, Atlanta CASA has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children,9
empowering them to thrive through advocacy, mentorship, and compassionate service; and10
WHEREAS, the organization has strengthened communities by collaborating with local11
agencies, courts, and stakeholders to enhance child welfare outcomes, promoting a future12
where every child has a voice and the opportunity to succeed; and13

WHEREAS, the volunteers, staff, and supporters of Atlanta CASA have demonstrated
14
unwavering commitment to the well-being of vulnerable youth, exemplifying the spirit of15
service and advocacy that defines the great State of Georgia; and16
WHEREAS, on this milestone anniversary, it is fitting and proper to honor Atlanta CASA17
for its legacy of impact and its continued dedication to the children and families of Atlanta.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19
recognize and commend Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates on the occasion of its20
30th anniversary, express profound gratitude for its invaluable service, and extend best21
wishes for continued success in its mission to advocate for Atlanta's most vulnerable22
children.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed24
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Atlanta Court25
Appointed Special Advocates.26
