25 LC 112 3439 Senate Resolution 422 By: Senator Still of the 48th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Katie Bagosy; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, Katie Bagosy has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting2 veterans and advancing mental health initiatives, guided by her deep-rooted ties to the3 military as the daughter of two Navy veterans; and4 WHEREAS, her late husband, Tom, honorably served as a guardian of this nation's freedom5 and liberty with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, courageously and6 valiantly protecting his fellow Americans during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan; and7 WHEREAS, she has been a steadfast advocate for veterans during her years of service with8 the Mental Health Council in Forsyth County, and she serves as the Outreach Coordinator9 at AboutFace-USA, a distinguished nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vital10 support and resources to veterans; and11 WHEREAS, this remarkable gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high12 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom13 which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved14 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and15 S. R. 422 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3439 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for 16 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this18 exemplary individual be appropriately honored.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 recognize and commend Katie Bagosy for her dedicated service on behalf of our nation's21 servicemembers and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Katie Bagosy.24 S.
