| 9 | 9 | | with the passing of Lottie Watkins; and3 |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Lottie Watkins was born on June 4, 1918, in Atlanta, Georgia; and4 |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, in 1960, she paved the way for Black real estate professionals and home owners5 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | with the founding of Lottie Watkins Enterprises, Inc.; and 6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, she selflessly served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1977 to7 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1980, advocating for economic development, civil rights, social justice, and voter rights; and8 |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, in 2023, a marker was installed at the Lottie Watkins building on Ralph David9 |

| 16 | 16 | | Abernathy Boulevard, in West End, Atlanta, to commemorate her legacy as a trail blazer in10 |

| 25 | 25 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,16 |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Lottie Watkins will long be remembered18 |
