| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Hattie B. Dorsey was a visionary leader and the founding President and CEO4 |

| 11 | 11 | | of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Inc.;and 5 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, she was a tireless advocate for affordable and mixed-income housing, and6 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | devoted her life to creating opportunities for families and communities across metro Atlanta;7 |
|---|

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, throughout her distinguished career, Hattie B. Dorsey broke racial and gender9 |

| 16 | 16 | | barriers in government and nonprofit leadership, serving in key roles with the United States10 |

| 17 | 17 | | Department of the Interior, Mayor Ivan Allen, United States Representative Charles Weltner,11 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, upon returning to Atlanta in 1984, she served as Vice President of the Atlanta13 |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, her work laid the foundation for Atlanta's current housing initiatives and21 |

| 31 | 31 | | inspired a generation of leaders, as well as left behind a powerful legacy of leadership,22 |

| 33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern24 |

| 36 | 36 | | WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation27 |

| 37 | 37 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,28 |

| 39 | 39 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Hattie B. Dorsey will long be30 |
