A RESOLUTION
Recognizing January 30, 2025, as APRN Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, patients depend on the more than 20,000 licensed Advanced Practice Registered2
Nurses (APRN) in Georgia to diagnose, manage, and treat their chronic and acute health care3
conditions; and4
WHEREAS, APRNs work to expand health care access in communities across the State of5
Georgia, promoting health equity in care and improving health outcomes for all; and6
WHEREAS, the confidence patients have in APRN-delivered health care is evidenced by the7
more than one billion visits made annually to APRNs across the country; and8
WHEREAS, better utilization of APRNs through modernized state laws and improved9
policies creates better health outcomes through a more accessible, efficient, cost-effective,10
and higher-quality health care system; and11
WHEREAS, APRNs serve as major health care providers for many Georgians and play a12
pivotal role in the health and welfare of our communities.13

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body

recognize January 30, 2025, as APRN Day at the state capitol and commend the men and15
women of our APRN workforce for their strength, leadership, and courage in their16
willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves.17
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed18
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the19
press.20
