BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: THE SENATE S.B. NO. 2196 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 S.D. 1 STATE OF HAWAII THE SENATE S.B. NO. 2196 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 S.D. 1 STATE OF HAWAII A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 421I, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§421I- Residential properties; zero-emission vehicle fueling station plans; requirement. Each corporation shall have plans to incorporate zero-emissions fueling stations, including electric vehicle charging stations, onto any of its residential properties that are constructed after January 1, 2023." SECTION 2. Chapter 421J, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§421J- Residential properties; zero-emission vehicle fueling station plans; requirement. Each association shall have plans to incorporate zero-emissions fueling stations, including electric vehicle charging stations, onto any of its residential properties that are constructed after January 1, 2023." SECTION 3. Chapter 514B, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§514B- Residential properties; zero-emission vehicle fueling station plans; requirement. Each association shall have plans to incorporate zero-emissions fueling stations, including electric vehicle charging stations, onto any of its residential properties that are constructed after January 1, 2023." SECTION 4. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. SECTION 1.
