4343 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

47- SECTION 1. Chapter 21G, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§21G- State capitol tours program. There shall be established within the public access room a state capitol tours program to be administered and facilitated by the public access room coordinator, and which shall include in-person guided and self-guided walking tours, and virtual tours, of the Hawaii state capitol building; provided that: (1) Paper brochures and information about the virtual tour website shall be made available to the public in the public access room; and (2) Administration of virtual tours of the capitol shall include regular maintenance and updating of a virtual tour website." SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2023-2024 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the establishment of one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position within the legislative reference bureau's public access room to provide capitol tours pursuant to section 21G- , Hawaii Revised Statutes. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the legislative reference bureau for the purposes of this Act. SECTION 3. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.
