  S.F. 326   Section 1. Section 155A.46, subsection 1, paragraph a, Code 1   2023, is amended to read as follows: 2   a. A pharmacist may, pursuant to statewide protocols 3   developed by the board in consultation with the department of 4   public health and human services and consistent with subsection 5   2 , order and administer the following to patients ages eighteen 6   years and older: 7   (1) Naloxone. 8   (2) Nicotine replacement tobacco cessation products. 9   (3) An immunization or vaccination recommended by the 10   United States centers for disease control and prevention 11   advisory committee on immunization practices in its approved 12   vaccination schedule for adults. 13   (4) An immunization or vaccination recommended by the 14   United States centers for disease control and prevention for 15   international travel. 16   (5) A Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) 17   vaccination in a booster application. 18   (6) Other emergency immunizations or vaccinations in 19   response to a public health emergency. 20   (7) An immunization or vaccination for COVID-19 as defined 21   in section 686D.2 . 22   (8)   Epinephrine auto-injectors. 23   (9) Self-administered hormonal contraceptives. For 24   the purposes of this subparagraph, self-administered 25   hormonal contraceptive means a self-administered hormonal 26   contraceptive that is approved by the United States food and 27   drug administration to prevent pregnancy.   Self-administered 28   hormonal contraceptive   includes an oral hormonal contraceptive, 29   a hormonal vaginal ring, and a hormonal contraceptive patch,   30   but does not include any drug intended to induce an abortion as 31   defined in section 146.l.   32   -1-   SF 326 (3) 90   pf/rh/mb   1/ 1
