13	13	1 AN ACT concerning education.
14	14	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
15	15	3 represented in the General Assembly:
16	16	4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
17	17	5 34-18.82 as follows:
18	18	6 (105 ILCS 5/34-18.82 new)
19	19	7 Sec. 34-18.82. School nurses. Beginning with the 2024-2025
20	20	8 school year, the board shall require the top 20% of the lowest
21	21	9 performing schools in the district, as determined by the
22	22	10 board, to employ a school nurse in conformance with Section
23	23	11 10-22.23 of this Code.
24	24	12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
25	25	13 becoming law.
