1 AN ACT concerning education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
5 34-18.82 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/34-18.82 new)
7 Sec. 34-18.82. School nurses. Beginning with the 2024-2025
8 school year, the board shall require the top 20% of the lowest
9 performing schools in the district, as determined by the
10 board, to employ a school nurse in conformance with Section
11 10-22.23 of this Code.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.
