187 | 187 | | 12 (e) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection (e), |

188 | 188 | | 13 each taxpayer who has been granted an exemption under this |
---|
189 | 189 | | 14 Section must reapply on an annual basis. Application must be |
---|
190 | 190 | | 15 made during the application period in effect for the county of |
---|
191 | 191 | | 16 his or her residence. The assessor or chief county assessment |
---|
192 | 192 | | 17 officer may determine the eligibility of residential property |
---|
193 | 193 | | 18 to receive the homestead exemption provided by this Section by |
---|
194 | 194 | | 19 application, visual inspection, questionnaire, or other |
---|
195 | 195 | | 20 reasonable methods. The determination must be made in |
---|
196 | 196 | | 21 accordance with guidelines established by the Department. |
