11	11	1 AN ACT concerning local government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section
15	15	5 5-1064.5 as follows:
16	16	6 (55 ILCS 5/5-1064.5 new)
17	17	7 Sec. 5-1064.5. Wildlife and sensitive habitat risk in
18	18	8 counties of less than 1,000,000 population. Notwithstanding
19	19	9 any other provision of law, the county board of a county with a
20	20	10 population of less than 1,000,000 may establish minimum
21	21	11 requirements for new building design and construction to
22	22	12 lessen the risks caused by new building design and
23	23	13 construction to wildlife and sensitive habitats.
24	24	14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
25	25	15 becoming law.
