1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section
5 5-1064.5 as follows:
6 (55 ILCS 5/5-1064.5 new)
7 Sec. 5-1064.5. Wildlife and sensitive habitat risk in
8 counties of less than 1,000,000 population. Notwithstanding
9 any other provision of law, the county board of a county with a
10 population of less than 1,000,000 may establish minimum
11 requirements for new building design and construction to
12 lessen the risks caused by new building design and
13 construction to wildlife and sensitive habitats.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
