11	11	1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by adding
15	15	5 Section 15-190 as follows:

17	17	7 Sec. 15-190. Limitations on posting disability status.
18	18	8 (a) No county employee or county official shall publicly
19	19	9 disclose on an Internet website information concerning whether
20	20	10 a particular property has been granted a homestead exemption
21	21	11 under this Code based on an individual's status as a person
22	22	12 with a disability if the county receives a written request to
23	23	13 refrain from disclosing that information from the person with
24	24	14 a disability or from that person's authorized agent or
25	25	15 representative. Any publicly available information the
26	26	16 disclosure of which is prohibited by this Section shall be
27	27	17 removed from the Internet website within 5 business days after
28	28	18 the county receives a written request under this Section.
29	29	19 After the information has been removed, no county employee or
30	30	20 county official shall publicly post or display the information
31	31	21 described in this Section unless the county receives written
32	32	22 authorization from the individual with a disability to make
33	33	23 that information available to the public.

68	68	1 (b) A property owner whose homestead exemption status is
69	69	2 publicly disclosed in violation of this Section may bring an
70	70	3 action in the circuit court seeking injunctive or declaratory
71	71	4 relief prohibiting disclosure of information concerning the
72	72	5 individual's status as a person with a disability.
