1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by adding
5 Section 15-190 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 200/15-190 new)
7 Sec. 15-190. Limitations on posting disability status.
8 (a) No county employee or county official shall publicly
9 disclose on an Internet website information concerning whether
10 a particular property has been granted a homestead exemption
11 under this Code based on an individual's status as a person
12 with a disability if the county receives a written request to
13 refrain from disclosing that information from the person with
14 a disability or from that person's authorized agent or
15 representative. Any publicly available information the
16 disclosure of which is prohibited by this Section shall be
17 removed from the Internet website within 5 business days after
18 the county receives a written request under this Section.
19 After the information has been removed, no county employee or
20 county official shall publicly post or display the information
21 described in this Section unless the county receives written
22 authorization from the individual with a disability to make
23 that information available to the public.

3 action in the circuit court seeking injunctive or declaratory
4 relief prohibiting disclosure of information concerning the
