11	11	1 AN ACT concerning education.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The School Breakfast and Lunch Program Act is
15	15	5 amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
16	16	6 (105 ILCS 125/2) (from Ch. 122, par. 712.2)
17	17	7 Sec. 2. Reimbursement of sponsors. The State Board of
18	18	8 Education is authorized to reimburse school boards and welfare
19	19	9 centers that operate free breakfast programs, school breakfast
20	20	10 programs, free lunch programs, or school lunch programs for a
21	21	11 portion of the costs of food served in balanced, nutritious
22	22	12 breakfasts or lunches and served to students in non-profit
23	23	13 public or private schools and non-profit welfare centers.
24	24	14 The State Board of Education shall reimburse not less than
25	25	15 $0.15 or the actual cost, whichever is less, to School Boards
26	26	16 for each free lunch and not less than $0.15 or the actual cost,
27	27	17 whichever is less, for each free breakfast supplied by them.
28	28	18 This appropriation shall take into consideration be in
29	29	19 addition to any federal contributions.
