1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and
5 Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 2310-720 as follows:

8 Sec. 2310-720. Prescription drug discount card program.
9 The Department shall create a prescription drug discount card
10 program in the State. The Department shall start the program
11 as soon as reasonably practicable after the effective date of
12 this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly. The
13 Department shall adopt rules necessary to carry out the
14 program.
