Legislative findings. It has been found by the 5 General Assembly of the State of Illinois that having healthy 6 police officers is an asset to communities throughout Illinois 7 and therefore, in an effort to support wellness of these 8 officers, both active and retired, we hereby create the status 9 of peer support advisor. 10 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by 11 adding Section 8-803.1 as follows: 12 (735 ILCS 5/8-803.1 new) 13 Sec. 8-803.1. Peer support advisor.
