SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $20,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the Department of Human Services to implement Public Act 102 -
522 and provide grants to local school districts and community
organizations for comprehensive personal health and safety
education in kindergarten through the 5 th grade and
comprehensive sexual health education in the 6th through 12th
grades. Effective July 1, 202 3.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The amount of $20,000,000, or so much thereof 4
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 5
Fund to the Department of Human Services to implement Public 6
Act 102-522 and provide grants to local school districts and 7
community organizations for comprehensive personal health and 8
safety education in kindergarten through the 5th grade and 9
comprehensive sexual health education in the 6th through 12th 10
grades. 11
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 12
2023. 13
