1111 1 AN ACT concerning State government.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The State Parks Act is amended by adding
1515 5 Section 4d as follows:
1616 6 (20 ILCS 835/4d new)
1717 7 Sec. 4d. Menstrual hygiene products pilot program.
1818 8 (a) In this Section:
1919 9 "Menstrual hygiene products" means tampons and sanitary
2020 10 napkins for use in connection with the menstrual cycle.
2121 11 "Restroom facility" means any room equipped with toilets
2222 12 or urinals for use by the public.
2323 13 (b) The Department shall establish a pilot program to make
2424 14 menstrual hygiene products available, at no cost to the
2525 15 public, in each restroom facility that is serviced daily and
2626 16 that is situated within the 5 most visited State parks under
2727 17 the jurisdiction and control of the Department.
2828 18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2929 19 becoming law.
