| 9 | 17 | | 7 Sec. 4. Prohibited acts. No person may sell, offer for |

| 10 | 18 | | 8 sale, barter, or give away as a pet or a novelty any rabbit, |

| 11 | 19 | | 9 hermit crab, goldfish, or any baby chick, duckling or other |
|---|
| 12 | 20 | | 10 fowl which has been dyed, colored, or otherwise treated to |
|---|
| 13 | 21 | | 11 impart an artificial color thereto. Baby chicks or ducklings |
|---|
| 14 | 22 | | 12 shall not be sold, offered for sale, bartered, or given away as |
|---|
| 15 | 23 | | 13 pets or novelties. Rabbits, ducklings or baby chicks shall not |
|---|
| 16 | 24 | | 14 be awarded as prizes. |

| 17 | 25 | | 15 No person may allow for the adoption, transfer, sale, |
|---|
| 18 | 26 | | 16 offer for sale, barter, or give away any animal forfeited or |
|---|
| 19 | 27 | | 17 relinquished under Section 3.04 or 3.05 of this Act to the |

| 20 | 28 | | 18 person who forfeited the animal or a person residing in that |

| 21 | 29 | | 19 person's household. |

| 22 | 30 | | 20 A person convicted of violating this Section is guilty of |
|---|
| 23 | 31 | | 21 a Class B misdemeanor. A second or subsequent violation is a |

| 24 | 32 | | 22 Class 4 felony, with every day that a violation continues |

| 25 | 33 | | 23 constituting a separate offense. |
