311 1 AN ACT concerning education.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
614 4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
715 5 2-3.196 as follows:
816 6 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.196 new)
917 7 Sec. 2-3.196. Air Quality in Schools Task Force
1018 8 (a) The Air Quality in Schools Task Force is created. The
1119 9 purpose of the task force is to study and make recommendations
1220 10 to the General Assembly on air quality goals for elementary,
1321 11 middle and high schools, processes to assess current
1422 12 ventilation systems in schools, processes to improve
1523 13 ventilation after assessment, and potential State and federal
1624 14 funding sources to improve school school air quality in the
1725 15 State.
1826 16 The Commission shall consist of the following members:
1927 17 (1) One member appointed by the Speaker of the House
2028 18 of Representatives.
2129 19 (2) One member appointed by the Minority Leader of the
2230 20 House of Representatives.
2331 21 (3) One member appointed by the President of the
2432 22 Senate.
2533 23 (4) One member appointed by the Minority Leader of the
