The Department of Commerce and Economic 5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois 6 is amended by adding Section 605-1110 as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 605/605-1110 new) 8 Sec. 605-1110. Advanced manufacturing training programs. 9 (a) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall 10 establish 3 advanced manufacturing training programs. The 11 advanced manufacturing programs shall expand opportunities for 12 skills training, boost retention of manufacturers, and attract 13 investment by manufacturing companies. 14 (b) Grant moneys must be used either to expand programming 15 in facilities or to support the construction of new facilities 16 to expand manufacturing programming.
