1 AN ACT concerning business.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Motor Fuel Sales Act is amended by adding
5 Section 1.5 as follows:
6 (815 ILCS 365/1.5 new)
7 Sec. 1.5. Sale of E-15 motor fuel blends.
8 (a) To the extent allowed by federal law, motor fuel
9 blends containing 10.5% to 15% ethanol, by volume, may be sold
10 in the State at any time during the year.
11 (b) If a waiver or other federal authorization must be
12 obtained to permit the sale of the motor fuel blends described
13 in subsection (a) throughout the year, then the Illinois
14 Environmental Protection Agency shall take all actions
15 necessary to obtain the federal authorization on behalf of the
16 State.
