1111 1 AN ACT concerning business.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Motor Fuel Sales Act is amended by adding
1515 5 Section 1.5 as follows:
1616 6 (815 ILCS 365/1.5 new)
1717 7 Sec. 1.5. Sale of E-15 motor fuel blends.
1818 8 (a) To the extent allowed by federal law, motor fuel
1919 9 blends containing 10.5% to 15% ethanol, by volume, may be sold
2020 10 in the State at any time during the year.
2121 11 (b) If a waiver or other federal authorization must be
2222 12 obtained to permit the sale of the motor fuel blends described
2323 13 in subsection (a) throughout the year, then the Illinois
2424 14 Environmental Protection Agency shall take all actions
2525 15 necessary to obtain the federal authorization on behalf of the
