11	11	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended
15	15	5 by adding Section 10-68 as follows:

17	17	7 Sec. 10-68. Mental health in the workplace. The Department
18	18	8 of Human Services shall direct the Illinois Mental Health
19	19	9 Planning and Advisory Council to establish a framework and
20	20	10 voluntary standard for mental health in the workplace that
21	21	11 serves to reduce mental health stigma, increase public,
22	22	12 employee, and employer awareness of recovery goals, and
23	23	13 provide guidance to the Illinois employer community to put in
24	24	14 place strategies and programs, as determined by the Illinois
25	25	15 Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council, to support the
26	26	16 mental health and wellness of employees in this State. The
27	27	17 Illinois Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council shall
28	28	18 consult with the Department of Labor to develop the standard.
