| 6 | 6 | | 4 Mae Patterson of Chicago, who passed away on July 1, 2023; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Lilly Mae Patterson was born in Marianna, |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Arkansas on October 3, 1918; she moved to Chicago as a teenager |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 and attended DuSable High School and Wilson Junior College; |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 she married Wilbert Patterson in 1936, and they were together |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 for 47 years until his passing in 1983; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 WHEREAS, Lilly Mae Patterson worked for Cook County, the |

| 13 | 13 | | 11 City of Chicago, and the State of Illinois; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 WHEREAS, Lilly Mae Patterson volunteered in the 4th Ward |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 of Chicago for over 50 years and served as a precinct captain; |

| 17 | 17 | | 15 WHEREAS, Lilly Mae Patterson lived in the communities of |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 Bronzeville, Woodlawn, and South Shore and was an avid rider |
