11	11	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Department of Labor Law of the Civil
15	15	5 Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
16	16	6 1505-225 as follows:

18	18	8 Sec. 1505-225. Protections for professional musicians. The
19	19	9 Department shall adopt rules to ensure that professional
20	20	10 musicians are guaranteed workplace protections consistent with
21	21	11 protections guaranteed to other occupations. As used in this
22	22	12 Section, "professional musician" means an individual musician
23	23	13 or member of a band that earns $7,500 of income in a calendar
24	24	14 year from sources related to his or her performance of music.
