1515 Appropriates $9,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
1616 the Department of Public Health for grants to the Illinois
1717 Association of Free and Charitable Clinics for expenses of free
1818 and charitable clinics. Provides that the funds shall be used
1919 to provide care or make referrals for uninsured or underinsured
2020 people living with acute and chronic health issues. Provides
2121 for reappropriations to the Department of Public Health.

3333 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
3434 in the General Assembly: 3

3636 Section 5. The sum of $9,000,000 , or so much thereof as may 4
3737 be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Public 5
3838 Health from the General Revenue Fund for a grant to the Illinois 6
3939 Association of Free and Charitable Clinics for expenses of free 7
4040 and charitable clinics to provide care or make referrals for 8
4141 uninsured or underinsured people living with acute and chronic 9
4242 health issues, including, but not limited to , medical health 10
4343 care, behavioral health care, oral health care, outreach, 11
4444 health education, screening and testing, medication and related 12
4545 expenses, disease prevention, and vaccinations. 13

4747 Section 10. The sum of $9,000,000, or so much thereof as 14
4848 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of business 15
4949 on June 30, 2023, from appropriations heretofore made in 16
5050 Section 131 of Article 77 of Public Act 102 -698 is 17
5151 reappropriated to the Department of Public Health from the 18
5252 General Revenue Fund for a grant to the Illinois Association 19

6262 outreach, health education, screening and testing, oral health 6

6565 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 8
