4	4	2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to extend
5	5	3 their congratulations to the School District 108 Lake Park
6	6	4 High School Competitive Dance Team, the Lancettes, for winning
7	7	5 the 2023 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 3A
8	8	6 State Championships; and
9	9	7 WHEREAS, This is the Lancettes' second consecutive state
10	10	8 championship and third IHSA title overall; and
11	11	9 WHEREAS, In their past 11 consecutive trips to the IHSA
12	12	10 state finals, the Lancettes have consistently placed in the
13	13	11 top 10 dance teams in the State and have earned trophies six
14	14	12 times, in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023; and
15	15	13 WHEREAS, The Lancettes have competed in the state
16	16	14 championships every year since the IHSA began holding
17	17	15 competitive dance competitions in 2013; and
18	18	16 WHEREAS, There were 77 teams that competed in the IHSA 3A
19	19	17 Sectionals on January 21, 2023 at South Elgin High School, and
20	20	18 30 teams advanced to the championships; and
21	21	19 WHEREAS, This year's IHSA Competitive Dance Team State
22	22	20 Championships were held on January 27 and January 28, 2023 in

31	31	1 Bloomington at the Grossinger Motors Arena; and
32	32	2 WHEREAS, The head coach for the Lancettes is Francesca
33	33	3 Leone, and the assistant coaches are Lauren O'Brien and Cassie
34	34	4 Spear; and
35	35	5 WHEREAS, The Lancettes squad that competed at the state
36	36	6 competition included Sophomore Alessia Bavaro, Sophomore Siena
37	37	7 Bavaro, Senior Isabella Catalano, Senior Abigail Hatfield,
38	38	8 Sophomore Sophie Hatfield, Sophomore Sophia Kazan, Senior
39	39	9 Camryn Kellogg, Senior Talia Leuzzi, Sophomore Ashton Lovell,
40	40	10 Senior Alexis McNally, Junior Ana T. Panagakis, Junior Emma
41	41	11 Raymond, Junior Nikola Sawicki, Freshman Kerri Thoms, and
42	42	12 Senior Giuliana Vasilevich; and
43	43	13 WHEREAS, The Lancettes ended the competition with a score
44	44	14 of 97.87/100; therefore, be it
45	45	15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
46	46	16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the
47	47	17 School District 108 Lake Park High School Competitive Dance
48	48	18 Team, the Lancettes, for winning the 2023 Illinois High School
49	49	19 Association (IHSA) Class 3A State Championships and applaud
50	50	20 their dedication to their sport; and be it further
51	51	21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
