8 | 8 | | 6 WHEREAS, Mother McDaniel was born in Harvey to Charles and |

9 | 9 | | 7 Nancy Wheeler on October 20, 1920; she graduated from high |
---|
10 | 10 | | 8 school and earned a certification in nursing from Lincoln Land |
---|
11 | 11 | | 9 Community College; and |
---|
12 | 12 | | 10 WHEREAS, Mother McDaniel spent most of her career as a |
---|
13 | 13 | | 11 licensed practical nurse, home nurse, social worker, and |
---|
14 | 14 | | 12 foster parent; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Mother McDaniel strongly believed in her family, |
---|
16 | 16 | | 14 her career, her faith, and her community and was passionately |
---|
17 | 17 | | 15 active in each of them; some of her accomplishments and awards |

18 | 18 | | 16 include two NAACP Awards and official proclamations from State |
---|
19 | 19 | | 17 Rep. Sue Scherer for her outstanding work and dedication to |

20 | 20 | | 18 the children of the community; she also received an official |
---|
21 | 21 | | 19 proclamation and dedication by Mayor Langfelder naming, |

22 | 22 | | 20 Sunday, October 18, 2020 "Mother Elizabeth McDaniel Day"; she |

23 | 23 | | 21 was recently inducted into the 2023 Legacy Circle of the |

24 | 24 | | 22 International Department Of The Church Of God In Christ; and |

42 | 42 | | 10 volunteered with the Red Cross and the disaster relief |

43 | 43 | | 11 program, and was active in numerous bowling leagues; she |

44 | 44 | | 12 always surrounded herself with her friends and family, which |

45 | 45 | | 13 is where she felt most comfortable and loved; everyone who |

46 | 46 | | 14 knew her experienced her big heart and giving nature; and |

47 | 47 | | 15 WHEREAS, Mother McDaniel was member of Greater All Nation |
