SR0287LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r SR0287 LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r SR0287 LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Jerome "Jerry" Slowik, who passed away 4 on October 2, 2022 at the age of 75; and 5 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik was born to Stanley and Irene Slowik 6 on August 25, 1947; he lived in both River Forest and Elmwood 7 Park; and 8 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik graduated from St. Patrick High 9 School; he earned his Bachelor of Science and his Master of 10 Science in Taxation from DePaul University; and 11 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik worked as an accountant and 12 controller for several firms, the Pizzerias Uno and Due, and 13 El Milagro; and 14 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik served as treasurer of the 15 Nineteenth Century Charitable Association; and 16 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik participated in a singles tennis 17 club and was a fan of the Chicago White Sox, the Chicago 18 Blackhawks, and Northwestern University; and 19 WHEREAS, Jerry Slowik was preceded in death by his SR0287 LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r SR0287- 2 -LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r SR0287 - 2 - LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r SR0287 - 2 - LRB103 31928 LAW 60650 r 1 parents; and 2 WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Jerry Slowik was 3 survived by his wife, Helene (Bak) Slowik; his son, Joseph 4 "Joe" Slowik; his cousin, Maryann Tolzien; his 5 brothers-in-law, Martin, Richard, and Bernie; and his nephews; 6 therefore, be it 7 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 9 Jerome "Jerry" Slowik and extend our sincere condolences to 10 his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 11 further 12 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 13 presented to the family of Jerry Slowik as an expression of our 14 deepest sympathy.
