| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Eldon R. "Bob" Abbott of rural |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 Smithfield, who passed away on January 26, 2023; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Bob Abbott was born to Arthur and Nina (Baughman) |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Abbott in Fulton County on November 28, 1927; he served in the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 U.S. Armed Forces during World War II and the Korean War; he |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 married Mary Louise Negley in Smithfield on May 31, 1952; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 WHEREAS, Bob Abbott was a lifelong farmer, and he sold |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 Pioneer seeds for 23 years; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, Bob Abbott was a member of the Brock United |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 Methodist Church in Smithfield; he was also a member of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 Fulton County Farm Bureau, Cuba Lodge AF&AM No. 534, the Odd |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 Fellows Lodge in Fiatt, the Macomb Prairieland Barbershop |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 Chorus, and the Shaw Creek Golf Course in Bushnell; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Bob Abbott was preceded in death by his parents |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 and one sister; and |

| 20 | 20 | | 18 WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Bob Abbott was |

| 21 | 21 | | 19 survived by his wife; his sons, Marty (Marilyn) Abbott, Bruce |
