311 1 AN ACT concerning local government.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
6-4 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
7-5 adding Section 11-101-4 as follows:
8-6 (65 ILCS 5/11-101-4 new)
9-7 Sec. 11-101-4. Joint-use airports; parking.
10-8 (a) As used in this Section, "joint-use airport" means an
11-9 airport owned, in whole or in part, by a county, located in a
12-10 county with a population of over 200,000 bordering the
13-11 Mississippi River, and used by both military and civilian
14-12 aircraft.
15-13 (b) A municipality may not levy or collect any use,
16-14 occupation, privilege, or excise tax, including, but not
17-15 limited to, a parking excise tax, on any transaction that
18-16 occurs on the premises of a joint-use airport or on property
19-17 that exclusively serves a joint-use airport. This subsection
20-18 (b) is a denial and limitation of powers and functions under
21-19 subsection (g) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois
22-20 Constitution.
14+4 Section 5. The Public Building Commission Act is amended
